But I can see how dangerous it can be if something falls into the wrong hands. I don't think it should be illegal. If two people are in a relationship and want to do something like this then that's their business. However I agree with Tiffany, young teenages might not realize how risky it can be.Lucy (The Secret Life of Books)https://www.blogger.com/profile/00689116264069727047noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4925167395637847306.post-61537232018434919742011-05-09T02:40:14.451-04:002011-05-09T02:40:14.451-04:001) I have not personally participated in sexting, ...1) I have not personally participated in sexting, but I know someone who has. I don't know how far it went, but I do know that she received some questionable photos. I do believe that was the extent of it though.

2) Should it be illegal? That depends on the situation. I don't think young kids/teenagers realize that everything can change within a second and if they send inappropriate material to one person, what happens if they have a falling out? That is out there forever. Like everyone else has said, it all depends on the situation and the participant's intentions.

jaidahsmommy(at)comcast(dot)netTiffany Drewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00299961211173649300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4925167395637847306.post-44478762341759442992011-05-07T23:19:12.286-04:002011-05-07T23:19:12.286-04:001)Have you or anyone you know, participated in &qu...1)Have you or anyone you know, participated in "sexting"?
Sad to say, yes, I have "sexted" before. It's a shame, though. I know that I wasn't thinking of where this person could put these pictures of me or where they would end up- it was just a stupid decision I made on a whim. I thought that since he lived far, far away from me and he knew none of the people I knew, it would be okay. Thankfully, we kept the pictures we sent each other to ourselves, but I know it could have turned out much worse, especially since I was being so careless. I think since experiencing that and the consequences that could have come with it was what drew me to this book and the giveaway.

2)Do you think this activity should be defined as a criminal offense? Why or why not?
I'm not really sure what to think about whether it should be a criminal offense or not. Certainly, most people don't exactly intend to let it get so out of control. As others have previously stated, it all depends. It depends on the person and their intentions. Sometimes these things can ruin everything you have going for you, and that's what scared me the most.

mcrs_venin(at)hotmail(dot)comCheyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17188252023977042737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4925167395637847306.post-33665063136636083992011-05-07T18:27:01.509-04:002011-05-07T18:27:01.509-04:00I have never sexted and as far as I know no one I ...I have never sexted and as far as I know no one I know has sexted either. In my opinion, whether it's considered a crime or not would depend on the intent of the people involved. Most likely, they'll be embarrassed when they realize what they've done.

Beverlysmcclure(at)aol(dot)comBeverly Stowe McClurehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02176195451841801819noreply@blogger.com
